As EOFY wraps up, I’ve had a chance to catch my breath after one of the busiest months we’ve ever had at Woodward Finance. Between funding trucks, excavators, utes and helping businesses unlock working capital, it’s been non-stop.
But amid the hustle, one thing stood out clearly: how important strong referral partners and relationships really are, especially in the current economic climate.
A Personal Note on Referrals
Many of the clients we helped in June didn’t come to us directly. They were referred by mortgage brokers, accountants, and equipment suppliers, professionals who know their clients well and just needed a finance partner they could trust.
When someone refers a client to me, I don’t take it lightly. I personally manage every referral from start to finish, not just to get the loan approved, but to make sure the client feels supported, informed, and walks away with a good experience. I genuinely believe I’m an extension of your business, and I treat your clients like they’re my own.
Recent EOFY Wins
Here are just a few real examples from the past few weeks:
- $265,000 approved for a civil contractor in QLD to purchase two used excavators and a tipper, all settled within 72 hours despite some past credit issues.
- $118,000 financed for a Sydney-based plumbing company upgrading its ute fleet, approved with low-doc financials in just two days.
- $80,000 working capital loan for a regional building business that needed cash flow to cover a large commercial project, approved same day.
- $447,000 approved for a custom-built truck and crane combo, application submitted with full financials and approved without delays.
These aren’t just numbers, they’re clients who were able to move quickly, make decisions confidently, and keep their business running smoothly because their accountant or broker made the introduction.
Why Referral Partners Are Critical for Fast & Flexible Finance
In this uncertain economic environment, many business owners don’t have time to chase multiple banks or get stuck in paperwork. That’s where a good referral partner makes all the difference. A quick intro to someone who knows the lender landscape, and can get things moving fast, can be the edge a business needs.
At Woodward Finance, we:
- Work with 60+ lenders, including low-doc and specialist options
- Turn deals around quickly, even when the banks say no
- Prioritise communication, transparency and trust throughout
Getting Started: Becoming a Referral Partner
As we head into the new financial year, I just want to say thank you. Whether you’ve referred one deal or many, your trust is what drives our business, and we don’t take it for granted.
If you’ve got a deal on your desk or a client who needs fast, flexible finance, I’m always happy to have a chat.
Let’s make this next financial year even stronger.
